Our Founders
Hello and welcome! We are Kristian and Sophia, the passionate founders of Wulff & Cub, our certified organic mushroom farm located in the picturesque Lockyer Valley, Queensland, Australia. Our journey began 14 years ago, driven by our love for mushrooms and a deep commitment to organic, sustainable food. Our shared interests in foraging, hiking, and making food a source of nourishment for both body and soul brought us together in a way that felt truly magical.
Kristian, with his extensive experience in organic farming and mushroom foraging, and Sophia, a dedicated Naturopath and Nutritionist, combined their skills to create meals that are not only delicious but also therapeutic. Our cooking sessions became a celebration of fresh, nutrient-dense produce, often fermented and shared with friends, making each gathering a feast for the senses.
As our passion grew, so did our family. Kristian’s siblings ventured into organic farming, and our own little ones, affectionately known as the Wulff Cubs, inspired us even more to craft gourmet, wholesome meals for our expanding tribe.
A decade later, it was no surprise when Kristian decided to start our mushroom farm. Located on a property that is 70% dedicated to koala sanctuary and shared with Kristian’s brother and father—who run a certified organic market garden—our farm reflects our commitment to sustainability and conservation. Within six months, our small-scale operation took root, and what started with oyster mushrooms soon expanded to include Lion’s Mane and Shiitake varieties.
Today, we’re still those two passionate individuals, though our days are busier than ever running our organic mushroom farm. We remain dedicated to creating and sharing delicious, nutritious meals with our loved ones, all while nurturing our environment.
